Description:

Mexico City is full of history, culture, vibrant nightlife, great food, and incredible architecture. For the last five years, across various Night School Bar classes, we’ve read about urban spaces from Teotihuacan to the contemporary landscape of CDMX, examined the roots of labor and liberation movements in la Ciudad, and learned about the writers and artists who called Mexico City home, like Frida Kahlo and Leonora Carrington. So: what better place to kick-off Night School Bar’s study abroad program!?

We invite all Night School Bar students (age 21+) to explore what Night School has to offer in CDMX. We’ll stay in the heart of the historic center, meet with local scholars and guides,  and learn in and about the capital of Mexico. The trip will be facilitated by two Night School Bar instructors who will offer you opportunities to study, discuss, and process what you learn. Together, we’ll explore the city’s literature, history, anthropology, art and politics. Knowledge of Spanish is not necessary.

We’ve scheduled the trip to take place across President’s Day in the U.S. The trip will conclude on a Friday morning in case you want to extend your trip for an extra weekend in the city or travel on your own to other locations in Mexico before heading home.
