I just signed up & need the class information.
If you sign up less than 24 business hours before the start of a course, it is likely that you will need to catch up on the first class session on your own and begin attending the second session. We are a small staff, and all enrollment communications are done by hand. We will be in contact with you as soon as we are able with the materials.
I would like to sign up for a class that has already started.
Most classes are closed for enrollment at the start of the first class session. If the first session has already occurred but the second class session has not yet begun, you can email us at nightschoolbar@gmail.com to see if there are spaces available. We are not able to admit additional students after the second session has begun.
I haven't received my syllabus.
If it's more than one week before class, you will receive your materials from your instructor soon! If it's less than one week before class, please check your spam folder. If you still do not see an email from your instructor, please email us directly with the subject line "I need my syllabus for [class name]": nightschoolbar@gmail.com
I need to pay in installments.
To pay in installments, please choose PayPal or Klarna at checkout, and choose their installment plan. Night School is not able to finance installment plans directly.
I need a scholarship, but they're sold out.
We're currently able to offer 3 full scholarship spots per course. If no full scholarships are available, you can choose to enroll at the lowest available tuition tier, or you can follow up directly within one week of the class' start date--if the class has filled by that time, we may be able to open up a few more scholarship spots. To follow up directly (please wait until within one week of the class' start date), email: nightschoolbar@gmail.com. We are not able to offer scholarships for asynchronous enrollment.
I want to attend asynchronously, and I need a scholarship.
We are no longer able to offer scholarships for asynchronous enrollment. Courses are primarily designed for synchronous participation, and we encourage you to enroll in a course that you will be able to attend synchronously.
I would like my workplace to pay for my class.
That's great! For all students enrolled through their workplace, we ask that you enroll under the full tuition or full tuition+scholarship donation options. If your workplace is a nonprofit with an operating budget under $150,000, you can also elect to enroll using the mid- or. low-level tuition options. To have your workplace pay for your class, you can: 1) purchase your class using a work credit card/bank account, or 2) purchase your class and receive an email receipt for reimbursement. Please reach out if you need an invoice or confirmation of completion from Night School for your workplace.
I would like to gift a class to someone else.
Wonderful! We have gift certificates available for purchase, which will be sent directly to the recipient. All gift classes should be purchased at the full tuition level. We are not able to offer classes at the full scholarship level or sliding-scale as gifts: scholarships should be self-selected only by the student themselves based on their level of need, and are not available as gifts.
I would like to know about the refund policy.
Our Refund Policy: All registrations include a $25 non-refundable administrative fee, which covers labor and processing fees. All refunds will be made less the $25 fee. We are able to offer full refunds (less the admin fee) or credit for a future course up to 10 days before a class begins. If the class is less than 10 days from starting but has not yet begun, we are able to offer a course credit for a future course. No refunds are available after a class has begun. In the case of a transfer to a different class, we will honor the transfer as a class credit; we are not able to make partial refunds for transfers. The full scholarship tier fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
I'm sick, my instructor is sick, or there's inclement weather.
If your class takes place in person, Night School requires that students refrain from attending when sick. In case of inclement weather or instructor illness, class may be moved online for a session or rescheduled to the week following the final scheduled session at the instructor’s discretion. We are not able to offer refunds for moved or rescheduled sessions.
I want to teach with Night School Bar or host an education-related event.
Thank you for your interest! We are not currently looking for new instructors, and we do not consider proposals by email. We are only able to consider proposals from people who have already taken a class with Night School Bar. Please do not contact us with a proposal if you have not studied with us previously. We will consider proposals from former students on a limited basis; former students can fill out this short form to share your proposed class or workshop offering. We are most likely to be able to offer your class if you propose a single-day event or workshop. We will contact you only if we are able to offer the course. If you have not already taken a class with Night School Bar, we hope you will join our community by studying with us!
